Compared to its predecessors, the Samsung Galaxy F62 has been given a makeover in terms of design and hardware. The phone is part of the Galaxy F series, which is a mid-range Android smartphone. With a display that fails to impress, the phone comes with a Quad-rear camera and OneUI 3.1 skin on top of Android 11.

Power-packed specifications

Despite being a mid-ranger, Samsung’s F62 packs in a lot of impressive specifications. The handset features a 6.7-inch full HD+ Super AMOLED Plus display, a powerful Exynos 9825 processor, and a large battery.

The F62 comes with a 64MP primary camera, a 5MP depth sensor, and a 12MP ultra-wide lens. While the camera may not be the best in its class, it does perform well in a variety of light conditions. It also offers a punch-hole front camera and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

The Samsung Galaxy F62 is powered by a 7nm Exynos 9825 processor. It comes with four Cortex A55 cores clocked at 1.9GHz and two custom cores clocked at 2.7GHz. It is also paired with a Mali G76 GPU. These features provide the phone with great gaming performance.

OneUI 3.1 skin on top of Android 11

Several countries have begun to receive an Android 11-powered OneUI 3.1 update. Samsung’s Galaxy Tab S7+ has also received this update. Its LTE variant has received OneUI 3.1 out of the box. The Mystic Silver color variant is also available.

Some other Samsung devices that have received this update include the Galaxy S20, Galaxy A03s, Galaxy A02s, Galaxy A11, Galaxy A12, and Galaxy A21s. These devices are expected to receive Android 11 in the first quarter of 2021.

In addition to these devices, the Galaxy A70 is also set to receive an Android 11-based OneUI 3.1 update. It has been confirmed that this update will be arriving sometime between April 27 and June 10. This update will also include security patches from March 2021.

Quad rear camera

Earlier this month, Samsung announced its latest smartphone, the Galaxy F62. Compared to the Galaxy M51, the F62 features a larger display and a faster processor. With a price tag of just under Rs 25,000, it is a compelling option.

The Galaxy F62’s primary camera comes with a 64-megapixel sensor. The secondary sensor is 12MP, while the fifth sensor is a 5MP macro shooter. The F62’s camera also features a wide-angle lens, allowing users to take photos of landscapes and close-up shots. The camera can also shoot slow-motion video.

The front-facing camera is said to be 32MP. It also includes a punch-hole design, which allows users to take selfies in an unconventional manner.

The battery in the Galaxy F62 is huge, with a capacity of 7000mAh. It comes with 25W fast charging technology and supports four-hour battery life. The device also features a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and a USB Type-C port. It’s also said to support Dual-band Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.0.

Display fails to impress

Despite being a mid-range smartphone, Samsung has managed to pack in a lot of features that make this device an all-rounder. The Samsung F62 is powered by a 7nm Exynos 9825 processor and comes with 128GB internal storage. It also has a massive 7,000mAh battery that can last for two days on a single charge.

The peak brightness is 420 nits and the PPI is 393 pixels per inch. The Samsung F62 display also offers deep blacks and varied color tones.

The Samsung F62 comes in two variants with different RAM and storage options. The top-end variant has a quad-camera setup and comes with 8GB RAM. It also has a brand logo at the bottom of the display and vertical lines across the back panel. It also has a Type-C port and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

Battery life

Among the mid-range phones, the Samsung Galaxy F62 has excellent battery life. The battery can last for 36 hours of light usage, or more than one day of heavy use. The battery supports reverse charging, too. The Galaxy F62 also has a dedicated microSD slot, meaning you can expand its internal memory to 512GB if you want to.
