Cruise America RV Reviews

Cruise America offers several types of RV rentals, including traditional round-trip rentals and one-way rentals. They also offer RVs for long-term rental, but you must rent for a minimum of seven days. In the peer-to-peer rental market, Cruise America competes with RVShare and Outdoorsy.

Early Bird Special

Cruise America offers an Early Bird Special on RV rentals that can save you a bundle. This offer is only available to those who book at least 30 days in advance. However, it does have some limitations. First, you must make sure that you can return your vehicle before 9:00 AM. If you can’t do this, you’ll have to pay $25 per hour after you depart. Secondly, you have to call the rental center the day before your trip to let them know when you’ll be departing. In addition, you have to note that Cruise America will not reimburse you for a delayed departure.

Lastly, remember that early departure hours only apply to vehicles picked up Monday through Saturday. Most vehicles must be returned by 1:00 PM, but you can get an Early Bird departure time if you prepay online. You can also opt for a Late Return Option, which allows you to return your vehicle between 8:00 AM and 3:00 PM. However, the return time may vary depending on the rental center.

Class C motorhome

If you are looking for a Class C motorhome, Cruise America is the company for you. This large RV company has over 120 branches throughout the United States. Its fleet of RVs is designed to accommodate families of all sizes, as well as budgets. Many models are pet-friendly, so your four-legged friends will have a great time traveling with you.

One of the most important factors in choosing an RV is the size. You need to decide whether a Class C motorhome will comfortably fit the number of people traveling with you and whether there is room for luggage. Typically, a class C motorhome is 20 feet wide and has three sleeping spots. It also features a smaller water tank and fuel tank.

Environmental fee

An Environmental fee on cruise America RV rentals is a cost you should be aware of before renting a unit. This fee is typically around five dollars per day and is charged if you park your RV in a parking lot without emptying the holding tank. It is also subject to an administrative fee of up to $250 if you do not report parking/traffic violations to the rental company. While it is a small fee, it can add up and leave you with a large bill.

The Environmental Fee is not mandatory, but it is a good way to support the company and its environmental efforts. Cruise America also has a very good cancellation policy. If you cancel at least one week before your departure, you’ll receive a full refund. Otherwise, you will forfeit your initial reservation fee. Unfortunately, there is no refund for one-way RV rentals. Additionally, the customer service teams at the company can be overloaded during peak seasons. They are polite and helpful, but they’re not always able to meet your needs.

One-way rental

While many peer-to-peer RV rental services do not offer one-way rentals, Cruise America does. The company’s RV rental locations span the United States and Canada, which makes it easy to find a one-way rental that fits your needs. However, one-way RV rentals may not always be available, so you should check before booking to make sure the service will be able to accommodate you.

The Great Northern Route starts in Seattle and proceeds through the volcanic Cascade Range, the arid Columbia River Plateau, and the Rocky Mountains. It includes the famous Glacier National Park, as well as the sweeping 1,000-mile-wide prairies of North Dakota and Montana. You’ll also see many national parks, such as Algonquin Provincial Park and the Wright Brothers’ excursion.
